Get a helping hand in changing your job or career
When you think about switching to a new position, job, career, or a business, but:
- You are afraid of making a wrong decision
- You don’t feel experienced or smart enough to accept that opportunity
- You are afraid to fail and leave with nothing
- You need support to “survive” and shine the first several months on that new job
- You don’t know how to balance your life in a time of transition
- You are afraid of starting from scratch
What could help you?
Changing your job is tough. It doesn’t matter if it’s about a new position or moving from a 9-5 job to your own business. You go out of your comfort zone to the unknown. A lot of new responsibilities and expectations. A lot of extra effort is required from you. And there is always a risk of failing. I get it, I was in a similar situation much more than once.
And you need some kind of support. Something that will help you to predict and mitigate risks. Something that will help you to evaluate the opportunity, create a transition plan, and execute that plan allowing you to get what you desired.
You have friends who support you. But they don’t understand all the complexity. Or they have no experience relevant to your situation.
There are many self-help books that help to find clarity, plan, and decrease stress. There are influencers who share wisdom and inspiration through their examples. But still, you need to find your own way in your particular situation.
You need someone who can understand your fears and concerns. Who acknowledges those risks and challenges. Someone who can provide a solution specifically for your situation. Based on your own needs and personality type. And this is what coaching is created for.
How coaching helps
“Just give me some advice or proven technique (a magic pill), and I’m good to go”.
This is what most of us would like to get. I’m the same. But it’s not an effective solution in most cases. Because what works for others does not always work for us. Because we are different and problems are diverse. Or things that are obvious to others and stay behind the scene is not always obvious to us.
Before using any solution, you must clarify what you want and if the solution is good for you. Otherwise, you might spend time, effort, and money and realize — you didn’t get what you wanted.
And it’s a process of exploration. We don’t always understand all the needs and fears that we have. We don’t know all our strengths. But what is most important – transforming our feelings or needs into words is a big challenge.
There are professional techniques to ask questions depending on the context. The proper question at the right moment allows changing the way of thinking. It helps bring to life what was hidden and expose what is most important.
Discovering our needs is only a part of the journey. The next step is to set realistic goals and start achieving them. That process should be individual for each of us. We are different, we have different paces, perceptions, and strengths. But also we have different limitations.
A coach helps to identify needs, set goals, and achieve them. All that using questions, transformational techniques, and individual approach to a client.
Results you can get with coaching
The major thing you get with the coaching – is an individual approach. A professional coach will help you to explore yourself and to identify what works for you specifically. It becomes a solid starting point for future move forward.
But there is much more to that. Coaching can give you:
Clarified goals and expectations
Identified strengths and weaknesses
Strategies to achieve those goals
Identified blockers and possible remedy
Balanced priorities and schedule
Approach to stay committed

Why I’m here to help you?
I’m hungry for exploration. I love to try and evolve in different new things. That’s why I’ve been working in different spheres. Just to name some: web programmer; antique furniture restorer; marketer in a bank; photographer; bricks and mortar shop owner; etc.
Why was I changing my jobs? The reasons were different. But the biggest one was my confidence that it’s not mine. After becoming good enough in that sphere, I didn’t feel that I want to do it for my whole life.
Changing jobs wasn’t easy for me. And in most cases, it was a leap of faith. New team, new responsibilities, new business paradigm, new challenges, no confidence in success. But I was so much self-determined that I pushed myself hard to get the results I wanted.
The process of changing my role or career became much smoother for me with time. I realized what risks are, how to prepare myself, and how to show up in a new place. And now, I don’t stress too much because I know – I’m good in the process of changes.
For the last 5 years, one of my roles was resource manager in a big company of 50k employees. I was helping employees to grow and reach new levels. With time we created an internal “Skill Advising” service. The service helps employees to identify what they want and how to achieve that. Part of that service is to help change career paths. While managing that service, I was coaching dozens of employees. But also, the team and I together were resolving complex requests. This helped us to develop some best practices.
I know that everyone is different. I’m curious about how people see and feel things. I’m obsessed with finding causal relations and creating clear structures. I’m immensely enjoying observing the transformation of proactive, positive people. And I want to maintain and be a part of that atmosphere. This is what I’m doing as a coach. And this is what I do, helping people like you to make that shift to a new job or career.
